This event featured two distinguished speakers: Mohammad Hidayat, Branch Manager of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Poso Branch, and Aldi Gifari, a Digital Enthusiast who also serves as Chief Marketing Officer of Kopi A’Robi HQ Palu.
The Public Lecture was conducted online and attended by the academic community of Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu as well as MSME entrepreneurs. The event was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu, Prof. Dr. H. Rajindra, S.E., M.M., who emphasized the importance of synergy between the banking sector and MSMEs in addressing economic challenges in the digital era.
“I highly appreciate the speakers for sharing their experiences in the banking and MSME sectors. This is essential for students, as they should not only gain theoretical knowledge from lectures but also learn from practitioners’ real-world experiences. Students who will enter the workforce should not only aspire to become civil servants (ASN) but should also consider becoming entrepreneurs,” said Prof. Rajindra.
This sentiment was echoed in the remarks from the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, represented by Rasmi Nur Anggraeni, Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs and Cooperation. Rasmi stated that the Public Lecture was held as an effort to cultivate students’ entrepreneurial interests and talents, in alignment with the vision and mission of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palu.
“This event is an effort to develop entrepreneurial interests and talents among students, in accordance with our vision and mission. Students have the opportunity to hear firsthand about BSI’s contributions and the experiences of Kopi A’Robi in leveraging digitalization. This will allow them to gain insights into innovative business solutions and inspire the advancement of MSMEs in the digital era,” explained the Vice Dean.
Through this event, participants gained insights into the role of the banking sector in supporting MSME growth, particularly through Islamic banking services, as well as digital marketing strategies that can enhance business competitiveness in the digital transformation era.
It is hoped that this Public Lecture will provide valuable benefits for students, entrepreneurs, and the wider community in understanding the opportunities and challenges faced by MSMEs amid rapid technological advancements and economic digitalization.
